Triangle Fire have purchased 215 Carbon Credits in the Rimba-Raya Project, located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo (peat swamp project) to make our business carbon neutral for 2022-23. We are proud to be able to support this project which is a living example of an economically viable alternative to deforestation. Rimba Raya is showing the world it is possible to protect forests, their indigenous wildlife and improve the livelihoods of local communities at the same time.Â
The project partners with local communities to develop solutions which provide sustainable growth of the economy while protecting and preserving limited and vulnerable natural resources.
The project delivers benefits across three industry standard measures: Climate, Biodiversity, Community.
Rimba Raya develops livelihood programmes in surrounding villages to provide education, employment and hope for future generations. The initiatives met all 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which strive to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all.
